Doctoral candidates in the neuroscience program are required to attend seminars throughout their time as students.
The seminars cover a wide range of topics, including glial cell biology, plasticity, immunomodulation, tissue oxygenation in wound healing, chronic kidney disease, metabolic sensing, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, and central nervous system injury and repair.
Previous seminar speakers include professors from the University of Virginia, University of Pennsylvania, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Salk Institute, the Scripps Research Institute and Harvard Medical School.
All seminars are free and are open to interested faculty, staff and students.
